Andrew Whittaker教授简介
Andrew Whittaker is Professor of Polymer Chemistry in the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN) at The University of Queensland. He is an expert in the physical chemistry of polymers with application in three distinct fields, namely 1) magnetic resonance of materials, 2) polymeric biomaterials and 3) polymers for photolithography. His work aims to connect fundamental understanding of the properties of polymers with real-world applications. Several of his inventions have been patented and licensed to multinational companies. Prof Whittaker is a scientific leader having been president of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute Polymer Division and the Pacific Polymer Federation. His many awards include in 2015 the Chinese Academy of Sciences President’s International Fellowship and in 2014 the Paul J. Flory Polymer Research Prize. Finally he is proud to have supervised to completion 96 postgraduate research (PhD and Masters) students many of whom are now internationally recognised scientists or industrial chemists. He has also supervised project work of many dozens of undergraduate students.
